Mid-Air Collision Avoidance

Mid-Air Collision Avoidance The 20th Fighter Wing, Shaw AFB, South Carolina, is the largest combat F-16CJ wing in the Air Force. Our training airspace includes warning areas over the water, military operations areas over land, and low-level routes throughout South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. In addition, Poinsett Bombing Range is located south of the base and is used for training by several types of aircraft to include F-16s, F-15s, A-10s, F-18s and various helicopters.

Purpose

The Mid-Air Collision Avoidance web site provides public information on where the 20th Fighter Wing operates and how, as a flying community, can make the skies in the surrounding area safer. This is a team effort and input is greatly appreciated.
