8/20/2012 - SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- An Airman assigned to Shaw AFB was found deceased on Aug. 17 at around 2 p.m.

The name of the deceased is being withheld until 24-hours after the next of kin have been notified.

"The men and women of Team Shaw are grieving the loss of a member of our Air Force family. Our thoughts and prayers are with family, friends and co-workers during this difficult time," said Col. Clay Hall, 20th Fighter Wing commander.

The cause of death is under investigation.

All inquiries should be directed to Public Affairs at 803-895-2014 during normal duty hours or to the 20th Fighter Wing chief of public affairs at 850-621-2941 after duty hours.
