9/11/2012 - SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C -- This week's Shaw Spotlight is Master Sgt. Damaris "Didi" Quintiliani, a 20th Force Support Squadron career assistance advisor from Long Beach, Calif.
Quintiliani has been in the military for 17 years and stationed at Shaw for five years.
Since the age of 15, she has lived a military lifestyle as both a dependent and as an enlisted member, which has given her a diverse background.
One thing that sticks in the back of Quintiliani's head is always know your people. She explained that knowing who you work with and their different personalities in general can be an advantage in the future.
"Master Sgt. Quintiliani, aka 'MSgt. Q', has been an outstanding leader and phenomenal help to me during the last nine months of transition within the Force Development Flight,"said Sarah Sloan, 20th Force Support Squadron acting flight chief for force development. "I've had to depend on her leadership abilities and confidence in keeping the mission sustainable."
Family: Husband, Master Sgt., Dante Quintiliani, 20th Fighter Wing flight safety NCO, daughters, Nikki Schafer and Mia Quintiliani; and pets Furbaby and Ziva
Music: Alternative, dubstep, House, Techno
Goal: To leave a legacy that circumstance can be overcome, and dreams can be realized despite adversity.
Biggest accomplishment: Balancing family, education and career.
Favorite Food: Italian
