20th Medical Group
10/2/2012 - SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- Are you an active-duty or retired service member or family member who is eligible for medical care provided by the Department of Defense? Are you enrolled in the 20th Medical Group system and have an assigned Primary Care Manager?
If you said yes to both of these questions, you have the ability to take advantage of the many benefits available with use of the TRICARE On-Line (TOL) website for Military Treatment Facility (MTF) enrollees.
TOL is an on-line patient focused portal providing access to medical appointments, prescription refills, laboratory results and a plethora of patient medical information.
Patients who register for a TOL account can have several options to access the system; they can log in using a Common Access Card, through an established MyPay account or by obtaining a DOD self-service logon. By using TOL, patients have access to the service anywhere and anytime they have internet connectivity. Here are a few features that make this service beneficial:
- Schedule and cancel appointments for yourself or your authorized family members when enrolled to the 20th MDG to include acute, follow-up or routine appointments to name only a few
- Receive email and text message appointment reminders
- Refill and check the status of your prescriptions
- View or download your personal health data via the "Blue Button" to include your laboratory results and allergy profile
- Access TRICARE information regarding benefits and services
- Utilize the Resource Center with links to several websites and a symptom checker tool to research medical symptoms.
By establishing a TOL account, you and your family also have the ability to make appointments with a new MTF when you are reassigned, merely by updating your profile on the TOL website. In order to protect the privacy of individuals, every family member over the age of 12 must have their own TOL account. However, family member privileges based on family relationships established in DEERS, allows an authorized family member the ability to manage appointments and prescription refills for other family members for whom they've been granted access.
For example, an active-duty service member can grant his or her spouse privileges which allow the spouse to book and cancel appointments for the active-duty service member, their dependent children, or themselves. As such, if you would like to schedule an appointment for your child during the evening instead of waiting for the appointment desk to open in the morning, you can do so at your convenience from your home or office computer.
TOL users who have account issues in regards to passwords or lockouts, experience technical difficulties or have any questions regarding the use of the system have access to support 24 hours a day.
Users merely contact the TOL customer service center at 1-800-600-9332 for instant assistance by phone or through email contact on their TOL account.
New users can establish an account anytime, anywhere as long as they have access to the TOL website.
To establish a TOL account, please visit the TOL portal at
https://www.tricareonline.com/portal/page/portal/TricareOnline/Portal and follow the screens to "log in". If you would like to learn more about TOL before you create an account, please review the "Frequently Asked Questions" located at https://www.tricareonline.com/portal/page/portal/TricareOnline/About or contact the 20th MDG managed care office at 895-6228.
