10/16/2012 - SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- The Carolina Skies Club and Conference Center hosted the Combined Federal Campaign's open forum fair Oct. 10, which gave Team Shaw a chance to meet and speak with representatives of some organizations in the CFC.
The CFC is a fund-raising campaign designed for federal employees. It grosses millions of dollars each year that goes toward funding charitable organizations.
Thirty-eight organizations attended the CFC Fair to provide comprehensive information to attendees about the services their organizations provide. Attendants received pamphlets and fliers containing information on the organizations, and also got the chance to get additional information or any questions they had answered by the representatives present at the booths.
Many organizations attended from the American Red Cross, National Veterans Art Museum, Fisher House, Phoenix Society, South Carolina Child Care Services, to Sumter Behavioral Health Services and PAALS (Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services).
