5/23/2012 - SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- This week's Warrior of the Week is Capt. Ashley Martin, 20th Force Support Squadron OIC of readiness and plans, from Felewell, England.

Martin is also the personnel deployment function officer during base wide Operational Readiness Exercises.

Staff Sgt. Stephanie Farrell, 20th FSS readiness technician and one of Martin's Airmen, said Martin is an excellent canidate for Warrior of the Week.

"Captain Martin doesn't just do her job," Farrell added. "She bounces around between OIC of readiness to manpower and services. Most importantly, she values our opinions even if she doesn't agree with them."

Family: Husband, mother, father, three sisters and one dog

Music: Country and classical

Movie: Lord of the Rings

Hobbies: Cooking, baking and subsequently running.

Sports Teams: Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Guilty Pleasure: Eating brownie batter

Goal: "I really want to tour Ireland with my husband"

Biggest Accomplishment: Keeping track of more than 100,000 personnel in UCOM during OIF and scoring my husband.

Heroes: My dad. He was a master sergeant in the Air Force on the maintainer side. He really taught me a lot about integrity.

Favorite Food: Steak

If you were stuck on a desert island what three things would you have? "Sunscreen, my Nook with an internet connection so I can read, and I guess a very large bridge back to the main land."
