September is National Preparedness Month and the 20th Civil Engineer Squadron emergency management Airmen is encouraging Team Shaw members to be aware and prepared for emergencies and disasters. In South Carolina, residents can experience a variety of natural disasters including hurricanes, flooding, tornados, thunderstorms, and extreme heat or extreme cold depending on the season. A machine used by the contractors crushes a BDU-33 bomb during a demilitarizing process for munitions dropped at Poinsett Electronic Combat Range, Wedgefield, S.C., Aug. 20, 2015.
