Shaw evacuates F-16s

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- Tactical aircraft maintainers and pilots assigned to the 20th Fighter Wing performed a mass F-16CM Fighting Falcon hurricane evacuation at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, Sept. 12, 2018.

Due to the potential damage by Hurricane Florence, approximately 60 F-16s were evacuated to Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida.

Thanks to the quick response time and diligent work of Team Shaw’s Airmen, the 20th FW suppression of enemy air defenses mission remains unhindered.
