SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. --
'Twas the night before Christmas; well, actually the day,
And Santa was busy, preparing his sleigh;
Loading it down with gifts of good cheer
While Mrs. Claus took care of all the reindeer.
As nighttime approached, Santa grabbed his coat and hat,
Then turned on his GPS to look at the map.
He hopped into his sled and then flew out of sight
As Mrs. Claus yelled to him, "I'll call you later tonight."
As I laid in my bed, I heard a horrible noise;
The sound of bending metal and scattered toys.
I jumped out of bed, ran to the window real quick;
Looking outside, I saw Saint Nick.
He laid on the ground next to the broken sleigh;
I wondered what had happened then I heard him say,
"Things were going great as I flew in from Rome,
Then I got distracted while using my cell phone."
I helped fix up his sleigh and reloaded the toys
Soon he was leaving to spread Christmas joy.
And I heard him exclaim as he flew away,
"Don't drive while using your cell phone, so you can live to see another day!"
