Access to care

The 20th Medical Group has always strived to provide access to care and appointment availability for the members and the families of Team Shaw. In times past manning has been well enough to satisfy the needs of all. Unfortunately, like many other units, our manning is steadily decreasing. 

The 20th MDG will be losing three family practice providers. Consequently, it will be necessary to increase the non-active duty appointments that will be referred to our civilian counterparts within the TRICARE network. Active duty members will still have first priority for acute appointments. 

"Right care, right way, anytime, anywhere!" is our motto at the 20th MDG and despite the loss of providers and the resulting decrease in access to care, we will continue to strive for the best in all of your healthcare needs. 

Please keep in mind those patients who are assigned to a PCM within the 20th MDG are still required to utilize the medical appointment line, 895-CARE (2273), even if being referred within the network.
