Editor's note: The Warrior of the Week program recognizes outstanding Airmen here who exemplify the Air Force's Core Values.

This week's Warrior of the Week is Airman 1st Class Donald Lord, 20th Logistics Readiness Squadron vehicle and equipment maintenance apprentice, from Saranac, N.Y.

He is responsible for helping to maintain vehicles on the installation.

"Since Lord has been here he has been a vital asset to vehicle maintenance," said Master Sgt. Anthony Holman, 20th LRS assistant vehicle fleet manager. "He has displayed the total airman concept, and has demonstrated the skill set of a 5-level even though he is only a 3-level. He has repaired several critical assets such as a Security Forces sedan, a Tymco Sweeper and several towing vehicles with little or no assistance needed. He is also five percent ahead of schedule on his up-grade training, setting an example for other Airmen to follow. He volunteered at the Sumter Senior Center where he fixed doors, toilets and a stove in their recreation building. He also went back on his own accord and made some minor repairs they needed done. He has also volunteered to be in the 20th LRS first sergeant retirement ceremony. He is a hard worker, and is always looking for the most challenging vehicle or jobs to work on."
