Army command Soldiers to fire ceremonial cannons on base

Soldiers from U.S. Army Central command are scheduled to fire multiple ceremonial cannon rounds Feb. 1 to 2, 2018 here.

The Soldiers will fire three rounds between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. Feb. 1, and 11 rounds between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Feb. 2. The firings are part of a general officer promotion ceremony and are not expected to be heard by the majority of the Sumter community.
