SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- U.S. Airmen assigned to the 20th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron’s, 77th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, 79th AMU and 55th AMU went head-to-head in the annual Weapons Load Crew of the Year competition at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., May 31, 2017. During the competition load crews loaded a GBU-31 version one bomb, AIM-9M and AIM-9X Sidewinder missile, as well as the M61A1 Vulcan 20 mm rotary cannon quickly and efficiently. The team to perform above the rest are scheduled to be announced during the maintenance professional of the year ceremony, June 2, 2017.
