Press Release 20-2017: Shaw Airman found dead at home Published June 27, 2017 By 20th Fighter Wing Public Affairs SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- Senior Airman Cody Flick, an Airman assigned to the 20th Component Maintenance Squadron (CMS), was found dead in his off-base residence on Sunday at approximately 5:10 p.m. The 24-year-old Airman was an Electronic Warfare Team member who served in the Air Force since Nov. 22, 2011. "We are deeply saddened by the loss of Cody," said Maj. Francis Schillinger, 20th CMS commander. "Cody was a valuable member of our team and a part of our family. The loss of any one of our members is felt by each of us. Our most heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and fellow Airmen during this difficult time." The incident remains under investigation by the Sumter County Sheriff's Office.
