A four-ship formation of 20th Fighter Wing (FW) F-16CM Fighting Falcons fly off the coast of South Carolina, July 21, 2017, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the 55th Fighter Squadron (FS.) SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the 55th Fighter Squadron “Shooters,” 20th Fighter Wing flagship aircraft flew a four-ship formation over South Carolina, July 21. The 20th FW, which celebrated its 70th anniversary July 28, will also celebrate the 100th anniversaries of the 77th and 79th FSs in February 2018.
