This week’s #FlashbackFriday showcases one of the numerous training scenarios firefighters must undergo to remain proficient in their craft.

U.S. Airmen assigned to the 20th Civil Engineer Squadron fire department extinguish a simulated aircraft fire during training at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., March 17, 2016.

Firefighters assigned to the 20th CES fire department train on a mock C-130 Hercules to test their response time and efficiency in extinguishing aircraft fires.

These trainings help ensure these Airmen are ready to extinguish aircraft fires on or off-base, at home or when deployed.
