The Team Shaw Rising Four hosted the fourth annual Team Shaw Family Picnic at the sports complex softball fields, April 21.

The picnic was hosted to boost the morale of Team Shaw members and bring them together for a day of fun.

Senior Airman Christopher Dugan, 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron storage crew chief, said the picnic was fun, had good involvement and provided Team Shaw members with increased resilience.

During the event, attendees received free food and participated in a variety of activities, including face painting, sumo wrestling and a children’s obstacle course.

It’s always a good time when you can relax and spend time with family,” said Master Sgt. Clyde Rankins, Senior Master Sgt. David B. Reid Airman Leadership School commandant. “Our mission is nonstop here at Shaw (Air Force Base, South Carolina,) so when we get the opportunity to unwind and fellowship with one another in an event that incorporates our families, it is always a success. This year’s picnic did not disappoint. Team Shaw’s professional organizations, along with countless volunteers, did an amazing job! It was a fun-filled, free of charge with something for everyone.”
