When allies to the United States want to know how Shaw Weasels get the job done, the 20th Fighter Wing can show them how Team Shaw operates.

Pilots from the Philippine Air Force traveled to Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, to learn about the 20th FW mission, May 21-23.

The purpose of the tour was to acquaint the allied pilots with 20th FW agencies and the suppression of enemy air defenses mission. The Filipino airmen inspected an F-16CM Fighting Falcon in phase, toured Shaw’s 20th Logistics Readiness Squadron’s storage facilities, received a briefing on survival, evasion, resistance and escape techniques and participated in a familiarization flight.

“It was a good opportunity to show how the U.S Air Force runs fighter operations and to build relationships in the pacific theater,” said Lt. Col. Brandon McBrayer, 20th Operations Group deputy commander.

Maintaining and strengthening relationships with allies is important for the Air Force. Team Shaw pursues this charge by sharing its mission with partners in the Philippines.
