TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Between the hours of 9:15 a.m. and 12 p.m., Sept. 12, 2018, U.S. Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 20th Fighter Wing at Shaw Air Force base, S.C., landed at Tyndall Air Force Base to escape the path of Hurricane Florence. Shaw evacuated aircraft from both the 77th and the 79th Fighter Squadron and will remain throughout the duration of the storm and will return after the damage assessment is completed.
