Finance: making life easier

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- Every single Air Force member must take a trip to finance at least one time in their military career. This can mean unpredictable wait times which can cause inconvenience for many.

The 20th Comptroller Squadron finance office has come up with a solution to decrease wait time and get military members and their families processed faster.

“This feature on the Shaw App is supposed to generate the fill of customers coming in and out of finance,” said Airman 1st Class Tommy Greene, 20th CPTS financial technician. “You can check in before you even show up and stay on the cue.”

The feature not only helps customers coming to finance, but helps members working at finance to be more aware of customer’s needs. After checking in and visiting finance users will receive a text prompting them to rate the Airmen who assisted them.

To access this feature, download the Shaw App and click the icon on the home page for finance. The feature is scheduled to launch by the end of this week for all users.

“I really hope people really utilize it because it’s really going to help us and them,” said Greene.
