20th FW vice commander takes final flight at Shaw

Col. Lance Kildron took his final flight as the 20th Fighter Wing vice commander in an F-16 Fighting Falcon here, June 11.

Kildron served as the 20th FW vice commander for about a year and is now taking over as the Air Forces Central A3 director at Al Udeid Air Base, Southwest Asia.

The colonel is a 1991 distinguished graduate of Louisiana Tech University. He earned his commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps.

He graduated from the United States Air Force Weapons School in December 2000, and has served as an instructor pilot, flight examiner, weapons officer, flight commander, wing weapons officer, director of operations and fighter squadron commander.
 
Kildron is a command pilot with more than 2,000 F-16 hours. He has flown combat missions in support of Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom and most recently Unified Protector.
