SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- The "5th Annual John K. Crosswell Charity Golf Tournament" was held April 19, at Carolina Pines Golf Course on Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. It was a team-based tournament in which 18 teams participated with four players to a team. The format was "Captain and Crew," where each team member teed off in any order, picking the best shot to play from until the ball is holed. There were door prizes, raffles, silent auctions and trophies presented to the first, second and third place teams. The tournament was held to raise money for the Crosswell organization whose goal is to provide a loving, nurturing environment for children and families in need. The proceeds from the event went to further this cause.
