SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- Retired U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Walter Lumbert, aerospace ground equipment technician, overseas his structural welding class at Central Carolina Technical College, here in Sumter, Feb. 20.

Lumbert, who served for 18 years at Shaw, now instructs the course at CCTC. Lumbert attained his certification while enlisted and upon his retirement was offered the position to build up the welding program at CCTC.
