Sumter County annual tree lighting

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. --  Sumter held its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony Nov. 30, in front of the Sumter County Courthouse. Several members from Team Shaw attended the ceremony. Maj. Gen. Lawrence Wells, 9th Air Force commander and Col. Clay Hall, 20th Fighter Wing commander, helped flip the switch to light the Sumter Christmas tree in honor of the holiday season.
The event brought about the holiday spirit as several elementary, junior high, and high school choirs performed Christmas carols for those who gathered at the courthouse to witness the celebration.
