Members of an orientation program, called Carolina Nexus', a program produced and managed by the University of South Carolina, visited here, May 14, during a five day bus tour.

The Nexus bus tours are designed to give recently-recruited faculty, staff, administrators, and students of USC an opportunity to visit various sites in S.C. and interact with local individuals.

Their most recent stop was Shaw Air Force Base.

Nexus' members toured Shaw's facilities and got the chance to interact with Team Shaw members thus helping them gain knowledge about Shaw's combat-ready airpower and Airmen and how they are able to meet any challenge, anytime, anywhere.

A portion of their visit was spent at the 20th Maintenance Group load barn where they were able to witness first hand some of the inner workings of Shaw's F-16 Fighting Falcon, painting a complete picture of the capability of the Air Force's largest, combat F-16 wing.
