Shaw Honor Guard performs retreat ceremony

U.S. Air Force Airmen assigned to the Shaw Air Force Base Honor Guard performed a retreat ceremony to conclude day one of the Shaw Air Expo here May 4, 2012.
 
All in attendance were able to witness the full spectrum of a retreat ceremony performed by military professionals.
 
More than 80 Airmen assigned to the 20th Fighter Wing, including the 20th FW Commander Col. Clay Hall, stood in formation for the retreat.

The purpose of retreat ceremonies is to pay respect to the U.S. flag and signal the end of the duty day.
