Public Affairs hosts canned food drive for holidays Published Dec. 14, 2011 By Senior Airman Daniel Phelps 20th Fighter Wing Public Affairs SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- The 20th Fighter Wing public affairs office is sponsoring a canned food drive from Dec. 13 through 23 at the Shaw commissary here. A box for donations is located inside the main exit of the commissary. Those who wish to donate can drop off canned goods in the box. "The goal is to collect more than 600 cans," said Senior Airman Kenny Holston, 20th FW public affairs photojournalist. The cans will be given to a Columbia, S.C. homeless shelter on Dec. 24, which will be just in time for their holiday meal.
