Staff Sgt. Shane Harvey, 20th Force Support Squadron Airman Leadership School instructor was presented his Community College of the Air Force Certification - Level II by Lt. Col. Dalian Washington, 20th FSS commander, at a 20th FSS commander's call here Nov. 10, 2011.

The CIC-II is a professional credential awarded by the CCAF that formally recognizes the instructor's advanced level of demonstrated professional accomplishments. It also recognizes the instructor's extensive faculty development training, education and qualification required to teach a CCAF course, and formally acknowledges the instructor's practical experience.

Harvey has also earned more than 2,000 hours of practical experience teaching a CCAF course.

"Harvey is truly a dedicated and inspirational instructor," said Tech. Sgt. April Howard, 20th FSS ALS instructor. "He draws his students in through real-world examples and humor, but knows how to keep them focused on the serious issues at hand. The students respect him incredibly."

Other previous recipients of the CIC-II here are Howard and Staff Sgt. Oshar Reid.
