Shaw major leads AF's top intel flight Published April 18, 2011 By Senior Airman Tong Duong 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs JOINT BASE BALAD, Iraq -- The 332nd Expeditionary Operation Support Squadron Intelligence flight, led by Maj. Jonathan Ratchick, who is deployed from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., earned the Air Force-level Outstanding Operations Group Intelligence/ Operation Support Flight Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Unit of the Year for 2010. "This is a tremendous honor," Major Ratchick declared. "It is recognition for the tireless efforts of our intelligence analysts deployed from all over the world, who came together to form a new team and excel at our mission," he added. "The true credit belongs to the many analysts who served prior to this current rotation, including our flying squadron analysts, led by Majors Donald Moss and Thomas Sharpe and the support of our EOSS and EOG commanders." The award comes on the heels of previously winning the Air Force Central Command and Air Combat Command level awards for 2010, as well as 2009. The flight will be formally recognized at the Air Force Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Agency banquet, May 12.
