Shaw earns top marks on inspection Published Feb. 4, 2011 By Airman 1st Class Daniel Phelps 20th Fighter Wing Public Affairs 20th Fighter Wing Public Affairs -- The 20 Fighter Wing earned a 99.1 percent compliance rate on the unit compliance inspection this past week from the Air Combat Command Inspector General's team, beating the ACC average by over 3 percent. "We have been preparing for this inspection for months, spending countless hours perfecting our processes all while continuing to flawlessly perform our mission," said Col. Charlie Moore, 20 FW commander. According to the ACC IG Brig. Gen. Jay Silveria, Shaw gave an amazing performance. "I couldn't be prouder of our Airmen for their sustained commitment to excellence," said Colonel Moore. "It is simply a humbling experience to work with such great Airmen." Shaw had 16 superior performing teams and two individuals were coined by the inspector general. The teams identified for superior performance were: Aircraft Parts Store Team, 20th Logistics Readiness Squadron Airman and Family Readiness Center Team, 20th Force Support Squadron Education Center Team, 20th FSS Hazardous Materials Response Team, 20th Civil Engineer Squadron - Medical Group Housing Flight Team, 20th CES Individual Protective Equipment Team, 20th LRS Military Deception Team, 20th FW Munitions Accountability Team, 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron Natural Resource Team, 20th CES Operations Group Intelligence Team, 20th Operations Group Outbound Cargo Movements Team, 20th LRS Plans and Agreement Team, 20th Contracting Squadron UCI Tiger Team, 20th Maintenance Group Unit Deployment Management Team, 20th EMS Weapons and Intelligence Team, 55th Fighter Squadron Weapons and Tactics Training Team, 77th Fighter Squadron The two individuals who were coined by the IG were: Tech. Sgt. Clinton S. Pilgrim, 20th MXG quality assurance program Staff Sgt. Woodrow Ruff, 20th LRS aircraft parts store supervisor More than 100 individuals were also recognized as superior performers as a result of the UCI.
