Air Combat Command picks 20th Med Group winners

Several Airmen from the 20th Medical Group received Air Combat Command Air Force Medical Service awards.

The Air Force Medical Service awards program recognizes individuals and teams whose outstanding actions improved the delivery of health care and contributed to expeditionary medical operations for Air Force personnel worldwide. It acknowledges sustained superior job performance, innovative operations and exceptional teamwork.

Only the very best within their respective specialties were selected. 

The 20th MDG winners were:

Outstanding Dental Airman of the Year
Senior Airman Grace Marie Uwizeye-Allen

Outstanding Dental Senior NCO of the Year and ACC Sijan award
Senior Master Sgt. Eric Hall

Brigadier General Sarah P. Wells Outstanding NCO (med tech)
Tech. Sgt. Eric Carter

Aerospace Physiology Senior NCO of the Year
Senior Master Sgt. James Powell

Col. Donald D. Dunton Ophthalmic NCO of the Year
Tech. Sgt. Damaris Quintiliani

Col. Cleveland L. Parker NCO of the Year (public health)
Tech. Sgt. Trinece Diaz (PCSed)

Chief Master Sgt. Anton Zembrod Award Outstanding Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

Outstanding Global Health NCO of the Year (deployment related)
Master Sgt. Brian McMahan

"Collectively and individually, our 20th MDG medics perform their responsibilities with confidence and competence while treating our customers with sincerity. These outstanding team members enabled some phenomenal achievements," said Col. Dean Borsos, 20th MDG commander. "Their actions contributed to the 20th MDG attaining the first 100 percent score from the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care  in four years, and score "excellent" ratings on the Health Services Inspection and Operational Readiness Inspection."

These winners will go on to compete at the Air Force wide level.
