Free celebration honors returning 20th MSG Airmen Published July 7, 2010 By Airman 1st Class Daniel Phelps 20th Fighter Wing Public Affairs SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- A free Warrior Return celebration is being hosted by the 20th Mission Support Group at the Community Activity Center and Lakeside pool here from noon to 4 p.m. on July 15. The event will honor all Airmen from the 20th MSG who have come back from deployment in the past three months, their spouses and those who stepped up to pick up the workload left behind when the warriors left. The celebration will include a Warrior Return morale ceremony, barbeque and drinks. It will also have different activities such as a DJ, swimming, giant inflatables, an obstacle course, Segway racing and tug-of-war. A lot of work has been put into planning this, said 2nd Lt. James Savage, 20th Civil Engineer Squadron project engineer. The 20th CES has been preparing since the beginning of June to put this together. This is the second 20th MSG Warrior Return celebration and they will be trying to hold it quarterly, he added. All Team Shaw members, their family and friends are all invited to attend.
