Shaw becomes winter wonderland

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. --  Approximately four inches of snow hit Shaw Air Force Base Feb. 12. According to Mr. Fred Harmon, 20th Operations Support Squadron meteorological technician, the record for snowfall was 17 inches of which fell Feb. 9 to 11, 1973. Shaw averages about one inch of snow per year.
