Shaw Spotlight: Earnestine Primus

This week's Shaw Spotlight is Earnestine Primus, a 20th Communications Squadron

chief of plans and implementations from Sumter, SC.


Primus has been working at Shaw for more than 42 years.


Primus's favorite quote is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthen

me." "It's my testimony of what I experienced in life." "I feel like I have reached a pretty good

level of success with a pleasant journey." said Primus.


Primus loves to go driving and takes a drive to New Jersey every summer to visit relatives.


"Mrs. Primus is a warm, sincere, and dedicated civil servant that has made an

indelible impact on the Cyber legacy of Shaw AFB that shall surely exceed her 42

years of proud service," said 1st Lt. Branden Lynam, 20th Mission Support Group

executive.


"The individuals that I work with help me make it through the day," said Primus. "They keep me

Going, especially since experiencing the death of my husband and my kids living away."

Biggest accomplishment: Ensuring that all of my kids that had a desire to complete

college did so and starting college myself.

Heroes: Mr. Richard Vaughn (dad) and Mary E. Butler (adopted mother)

Goal: Retire in 2013 and finish my degree

Guilty Pleasure: Desserts

Sport Teams: Most talked about at my house are the Citadel and LSU

Hobbies: Church, reading, cooking and gardening
