SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- This week's Warrior of the week is Staff Sgt. Franklin Mahan, 20th Contracting Squadron contract administrator, from Gulfport, Miss.

Senior Master Sgt. Richard Crivens, 20th Contracting Squadron superintendent, believes Mahan is a great candidate for the Shaw Spotlight because, "He is an enterprising young man who has a persistent drive in his work ethic."

Family: Mother Maureen, two sisters Jessica and Holly, and brother James

Music: I listen to everything

Movie: The Boondock Saints

Hobbies: Snowboarding, wakeboarding, hunting, camping, off -roading, comics, computers, games, martial arts and cars/mechanics

Sports Teams: I'm not a sports guy

Guilty Pleasure: I'm a fan of scotch

Goal: Going back to school for my bachelor's degree in nursing

Biggest Accomplishment: The 90 days I spent helping out families after Hurricane Katrina

Heroes: Dennis Grylls, he is a childhood hero. He was never afraid to pursue his dreams.
