Warrior of the Week: Airman 1st Class James Hengsterman-Cash

Editor's note: The Warrior of the Week Program is a program designed to honor Shaw's service members who exemplify the Core Values.

This week's Warrior of the Week is Airman 1st Class James Hengsterman-Cash, Air Forces Central network operations security center operations floor technician, from Durham, N.C.

His job is to help out with network security in the area of responsibility.

"The best part is the amount of knowledge I have gained in this job," he said. "I wasn't a computer guy before and now I get to see how everything works."

"Hengsterman-Cash has only been here for about 6 months and has been a great asset to the NOSC ops floor with a very professional and positive attitude," said 2nd Lt. Mickael Gerard, AFCENT NOSC crew commander.

Through his short time on Shaw he has won the NOSC Airman of the Quarter and the AFCENT A6 Airman of the Quarter awards, volunteered 180 hours to Airmen Against Drunk Driving with six saves, and dedicated six hours to the Croswell Children's home enriching the lives of 19 kids.
