SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- Team Shaw’s Veterinary Treatment Facility is scheduled to host an open house, Dec. 4.

The VTF team’s goal is to show what services they offer and allow Team Shaw an opportunity to meet with the incoming veterinarian, Dr. Carolina Nunez, from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.

“We’re trying to raise awareness for our clinic,” said Capt. Ashley Moye, Public Health Activity VTF Shaw officer in charge. “We see pets for active-duty members and retired service members, basically anyone who has access to base medical care, they have access to us.”

During the open house, the clinic will be hosting a full tour of the facility, pet photos with Santa and a military working dog demonstration.

Spc. Daniel Gorospe, Public Health Activity Shaw VTF animal care specialist, said it is important for individuals to have this opportunity to see the new bells and whistles and get a first-hand look at the facility they leave their pets at.

To contact the clinic, call 803-895-6155.
