Where are you from?
I’m from Long Beach, California.

Why did you decide to join the Air Force?
I wanted to join for school and to try something new.

How long have you been at Shaw?
I’ve been at Shaw for about a year and a half.

What is one Air Force resource you found that is incredibly beneficial?
I would say the education office. They’ve really been helpful to me when I was looking for a school and answered any questions I had in regards to the Air Force Academy.

What is your favorite part of South Carolina?
I really enjoy how warm the beaches are here. The ones back on the west coast are pretty cold.

What is your favorite part of your hometown?
I love the people back home and how diverse it is. Everyone in my hometown is very welcoming.

How would you describe a normal day for you?
A typical day at the office starts with running reports, which then goes into auditing all of your records from Shaw to make sure there are no discrepancies. Aside from that we need to keep an eye on who is soon to out-process or in-process, who needs to attend psychological or physiological training, etc.

What is one word that describes how you lead?
I lead honestly. If there is an issue or if I need help, I’m not afraid to ask. I would offer the same advice to anyone I lead.

What is your favorite sport?
My favorite sport is baseball and my favorite team is the Los Angeles Dodgers.

What is one thing you wish people knew about your job?
I wish people knew how much we do in this office. So much work goes on behind-the-scenes.

What is your least favorite part of your job? How do you make sure it gets done?
My least favorite task would have to be working on some of the longer reports that we have. They can be really tedious and take a lot of time, but if a few of us work as a team they can be finished a lot quicker and no one person becomes overwhelmed.

What is your favorite part of the job?
It would have to be the people I work with. I love my office and everyone I work with is great.

What would you like to say to the people back home?
I’m glad that everyone at home is doing well and I hope that they stay safe during this pandemic.
