Where are you from?
I grew up in Glendale, Maryland.

Why did you decide to join the Air Force?
Most of my family has served in some form or another so I thought I would too.

How long have you been at Shaw?
I’ve been at Shaw since this April.

What is one Air Force resource you found that is incredibly beneficial?
I think mental health resources, along with all of the other helping agencies, have been a big help to me.

What is your favorite part of South Carolina?
I really enjoy being close to the beach.

What is your favorite part of your hometown?
I love that there is so much history there and how you’re always a short drive from something interesting.

How would you describe a normal day for you?
Most of my day is centered on taking care of my people and handling their administrative work. I also make sure those under me meet their appointments on time and get done what they need to get done so they can accomplish the mission.

What is one word that describes how you lead?
I try to lead with love. Whether that’s love for the job or love for my people. I think it’s very important that you establish a connection with your folks and if it’s genuine and sincere, then it makes all the difference.

What is your favorite sport? Team?
My favorite sport is boxing. My favorite team has to be the Baltimore Ravens.

What is your least favorite part of your job? How do you make sure it gets done?
I honestly don’t enjoy processing emails. It can take a lot of time so I have to set aside administrative time every day to make sure I’m caught up.

What is your favorite part of the job?
My favorite part of this job is that we get to get out from behind the desk and see all the different parts of the Air Force that makes it work.

What would you like to say to the people back home?
I just hope my guys back at home know that I love them.
