SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. --  Brooke Braswell, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) volunteer, passes out beads after the “Out of the Darkness” walk for suicide awareness and prevention at Patriot Park in Sumter S.C., Nov. 5, 2022. The goal of suicide prevention for Shaw is to reduce the factors that increase risk of suicide and increase factors that promote the Air Force’s pillars of resilience through connection and social interaction.
