The Shaw AFB Environmental Restoration Program invites the public to an Open House and Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meeting on June 16, 2026, at Cherryvale Elementary School (1420 Furman Dr., Sumter, SC 29154).

The Open House will be held from 5 - 6 p.m., followed by the RAB from 6 - 7 p.m., and closing with another Open House from 7 - 8 p.m.

The Shaw AFB Environmental Restoration Program is responsible for cleaning up contamination from past operations on and surrounding the base.

The Open House is an opportunity to view detailed project information, learn about the base’s environmental cleanup activities, and speak with members of the environmental restoration team. The RAB provides a forum for Shaw AFB, community representatives, and regulatory partners to discuss and exchange information on current and future environmental restoration efforts.

Please contact Leigh-Ann Fabianke at LeighAnn@GalenDriscol.com or (210) 758-3535 by 3:00 p.m. on June 11, 2026, if you have a disability and require reasonable accommodation to fully participate in this meeting.
