Three teams of personnel from Headquarters Air Force and the Air Force Personnel Center will visit 91Air Force installations across the globe to educate Airmen on new and upcoming changes to the EES and WAPS, with one stop being here, July 15.

The 20th Fighter Wing hosted two town hall sessions as part of the Enlisted Evaluations System and Weighted Airman Promotion System Roadshow to educate Airmen.

During the town halls, experts explained the new evaluation systems basic pillars - meaningful feedback, a cumulative record of performance, and promotion potential.

"The central focus and underlying foundation to the new EES pillars is duty performance," said Chief Master Sgt. Jeff Gabrelcik, Headquarters Air Force personnel policy chief. "To make this new EES successful, we must first begin with sound performance feedback. The Airman Comprehensive Assessment is designed to be the first generation of assessment system focusing on Air Force fundamentals which include accountability, responsibility, and Air Force culture."

Airmen were also afforded the opportunity to see the new Enlisted Performance Report forms and were informed why the Air Force is increasing the EPR weight and phasing out points for time in grade and time in service.

Throughout the day explanations of Force Distribution and Restricted Stratification were given and the ways it applies to Airmen. As many wondered about the new EPR, EES and WAPS, the chance to ask the experts questions was available at the end of the town hall.

"With any new system or change there's always going to be questions and concerns," said Largent. "I feel the briefing I received today was very helpful and provided insight on the new system."

As the town halls ended and new systems to be implemented in the near future, the EES/WAPS experts packed up to head to the next installation.

"I am incredibly grateful to AFPC, ACC, and Headquarters Air Force for sending this team out to inform and educate our Airmen on the professional growth that will be expected of them in the future," said Chief Master Sgt. Christopher McKinney, 20th Fighter Wing command chief.
