The 20th Communication Squadron hosted a technology expo put on by National Conference Services Incorporated at the Carolina Skies Club and Conference Center here, May 20.

The purpose of the expo was to showcase new technologies and IT-based solutions that can help advance an organization's mission on base.

"This is an opportunity for the organizations and units structured under Ninth Air Force, the 20th Fighter Wing, U.S. Air Forces Central Command, U.S. Army Central Command, and other tenant units to see the latest in emerging technologies, network with industry experts, share ideas and future goals," said Capt. Sara Neubauer, 20th Mission Support Group executive.

The expo featured various companies that displayed their newest tablets, wireless communications devices, software programs, and more.

Team Shaw members came through and discussed different technology advances that they would like to have in their units so that they could find more effectivly and efficiently perform their mission, said 1st Lt. Philip Rancourt, 20th CS quality assurance officer in charge.

There were approximately 20 vendors at the event.

"It's a great way to highlight the future of technology and allow other units to see products that may help," said Rancourt.

At the expo vendors displayed mobile radio advances, new software, teleconferencing capabilities, and more.
