The Carolina Lakes Golf Course received a new driving range ball machine here, December 2014.

After the previous one became unserviceable, customers were only able to purchase range balls during hours of operation from the pro shop.

"The new machine allows customer to purchase range balls with cash right at the machine without having to make a trip inside," said Kathrine Williams, 20th Force Support Squadron Carolina Lakes golf course director.

With the new machine, are able to take advantage of the driving range on their own time and at their convenience.

"Since the range has lights, people are able to hit balls even after the pro shop closes in the evening," said Williams.

The driving range is open 24 hours a day seven days a week and the pro shop is open from 7 a.m. til 5:30 p.m. in the winter and from 7 a.m. til 8:30 p.m. in the summer.
