Members of the Carolina Panthers National Football League team visited Team Shaw here, Nov. 4.

The Panthers came to see Shaw's day-to-day operations while visiting Airmen and soldiers to thank them for their service.

"I grew up in a military family so I kind of know what service members go through," said Graham Gano, Carolina Panthers kicker. "It means a lot to me to be able to come here meet with the Airmen and soldiers and sign some autographs for them. It's the least I can do."

Throughout the day the Panthers visited the weapons standardization facility, 28th Operational Weather Squadron, the Carolina Skies Club and Conference Center, 20th Aerospace Medical Squadron aerospace and operational physiology shop, and the 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron engine test facility.

"I'm a huge football fan so seeing the Panthers come out here is awesome," said Senior Airman Daniel Valeri, 20th EMS aerospace ground equipment specialist. "It's cool to be able to meet and talk to them but it also shows that our work doesn't go unnoticed, and that's the part I appreciate."

The meet and great ended with a lunch where the team signed autographs for members of team Shaw.
