The 20th Force Support Squadron held the annual Boo Bash event here, Oct. 25.

The purpose of the event was to provide members of Team Shaw and their families with a safe trick-or-treating environment.

"We started this event in 2009," said John Lonergan, 20th FSS Studio 20 manager. "It was right after a young boy was killed trick-or-treating in 2008; so now we hold this event every year to give them a safer place."

The event kicked off with children going through the "trunk or treat" line. From there, they had the chance to play a series of games, bounce in inflatables, and listen to live music.

Approximately 1,500 people attended the event with 10 vehicles in the "trunk or treat" line.

"As a parent the joy of seeing all the kids in their wonderful costumes interacting with one another is exciting," said Derrick Rhems, 20th FSS marketing and promotions director. "Hearing your own kids saying that they had a great time is priceless."
