The 20th Force Support Squadron Airmen and Family Readiness Center hosted the Kids Jamboree here, July 30.

The free event was open to all active-duty service members, civilians, retirees and their families.

The purpose of the event was to have a fun, learning environment for children on base.

"I think it was a phenomenal turnout," said Jerome Brown, 20th FSS family support coordinator. "The event is in our annual outreach program, available to children not enrolled in public schools. We provide speech, vision, hearing, and developmental screenings."

At the event, there were several demonstrations, booths and activities to include; an explosive ordnance disposal demonstration and a petting zoo.

Door prizes were also given out to attendees.

"The kids seemed to have a blast," said Staff Sgt. Brett Madson, 20th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 55th Fighter Squadron F-16CJ Fighting Falcon avionics specialist. "Their favorite parts were the bunnies and the ponies."
