The Attic opened its door to E-6 and above after previously only being available to E-5 and below here, July 17, 2014.

"We decided to open the Airman's Attic up to all enlisted ranks because we know that there is a need within the community for certain items," said Karilea Kate, Airman's Attic coordinator. "We want to give people the opportunity to come in here and take advantage of the services we offer."

Although some Senior NCO's may never use these services, others are happy to see the change.

"I think it's a great idea that they are opening it up," said Master Sgt. Damaris Quintiliani, 20th Force Support Squadron, career assistance advisor. "It will help the Airman's Attic clear out some of the stuff, and give a big portion of the base an opportunity to come in and see what goes on in here."

Besides attempting to bring more Airmen to the shop, they are also trying to get more donations such as clothes, furniture and household items.

"Hopefully getting more people in here will help spread the word about the Airman's Attic," said Kate. "And then that will bring in more donations."
