New foam aids fire fighting
U.S. Air Force Senior Airmen Brandon Young and Wesley Martin, 20th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters, extinguish a controlled car fire with the new compressed air foam system, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. March 10, 2014. The new CAF system is a way to cool down a structure on fire by emitting millions of bubbles that trap British thermal units, the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water.
