Ability One Appreciation Picnic

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE SC -- The 20th Contracting Squadron hosted the 14th Annual Ability One appreciation picnic at Memorial Lake here, Oct. 25, 2013.

Free food, gifts and awards were all used as ways of thanking the Ability One employees and their families for their support to Team Shaw.

Nearly 175 individuals including 76 Ability One workers attended for the fun.

Shaw AFB was the first base in the Air Force to hold a recognition event for the Ability One program, a federal initiative which provides jobs for people with disabilities on military installations across the country.
